Kay has over 27 years experience in Employment Relations Consulting, Industrial Relations, and Human Resources Management.
She has worked nationally and internationally, assisting employers in all their employment related matters.
Kay’s experience includes working with clients in a wide cross-section of industry sectors including manufacturing, education, aviation, finance, construction, tourism, health, retail, food services and government agencies.
Kay has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Chinese and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business (Dispute Resolution). She has attended numerous courses and conferences in Employment Law, Employment Relations and Industrial Relations.
Kay is a member of the Employment Law Institute of NZ, the Institute of Directors in NZ, and the Human Resources Institute of NZ. Email Kay

Kate has over 27 years’ experience in Employee Relations and HR management positions including the GM HR of Summerset, and significant experience consulting to clients around the country through Rudd Watts & Stone and later with Kate David & Associates Ltd.
Kate’s experience includes working with clients over a wide range of industry sectors including manufacturing, financial services, professional services, IT, Science, Health, Aged Care, and Not-For-Profit.
Prior to joining the Chapman ER team, Kate had her own HR Consultancy in Wellington and has successfully dealt with disciplinary investigations, performance management issues, restructurings, designing and delivering training courses, collective bargaining (Collective and MECA), mediations, culture change, culture audits, recruitment and all levels, position descriptions, development of house policies, performance appraisals, remuneration strategies, coaching and mentoring, and general advice to senior management teams, CEO’s and Boards.

Christine Summerville has over 26 years experience in General Management, Employment & Industrial Relations, Health & Safety and Human Resources. A key achievement was managing a major restructuring and subsequent mergerproject between a College and University.
Christine has a pragmatic and practical approach, with a style that can accommodate the requirements of the situation at hand. She has extensive experience with collective bargaining and union matters and has dealt with various unions including EPMU, PSA, TIASA, TEU and NZEI.
Christine has experience and skills to understand the drivers of a business and the commercial acumen to be creative with plans while remaining focused on the need to deliver business results.
Christine’s formal education includes being a qualified ISO 9001 Auditor. Email Christine

Marie has a Bachelor of Business Studies majoring in Human Resource Management and 23 years’ experience working in Human Resources. Marie has worked in the public and private sectors, in large, small, corporate, manufacturing and also not-for-profit organisations.
Marie came to us in 2013 from the role of General Manager Human Resources at New Zealand King Salmon. Marie has knowledge and experience across the full range of HR, ER and H&S activities. Marie has managed her own teams, operated at senior management level and held a number of governance roles. She particularly enjoys aligning HR needs and assisting to achieve HR outcomes to best fit with the commercial and strategic requirements of the business. Email Marie

Donna comes to us from the Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology (NMIT) and brings with her 17 years of operational HR experience most recently as the HR Team Leader. Donna has a Diploma in Management and continues her studies in this area.
Key achievements include management of both large and small scale organisational restructuring; implementation of an online performance management system; introduction and achievement of secondary-level ACC Workplace Safety Management Systems accreditation; responsibility for remuneration systems and design of HR policy and processes. Katrina provides business development and administration support to the Chapman ER team.
She has a background in marketing, advertising and recruitment and has worked for both large corporates and small businesses across hospitality, property, retail and recruitment industries.

Tamara gives part time administration support to the team at Chapman ER and undertakes duties and projects for the advancement and growth of the company.
