Keith Vaughan | KVConsulting
productivity through effective staff management ![]()
Keith Vaughan has extensive experience after 9 years at the Employers and Manufacturers Association delivering Staff Management seminars within a context of employment law. This is where he acquired a very good understanding of the disciplinary procedures. He helped to manage the ‘fallout’ which occurred when staff believed they were unfairly treated through warnings or dismissal (which often resulted in difficult staff or even personal grievances). Keith assists employers / managers to effectively deal with under-performers, providing strategies to address performance at ‘the next best appropriate time’. Addressing the causes of underperformance is crucial, rather than dealing with symptoms, as many sub standard problems are misdiagnosed which means that inappropriate solutions are suggested, including warnings / dismissals. An understanding of the legal implications of the whole disciplinary process and how to avoid pitfalls is also provided.
recent recommendation:
“Keith is a truly outstanding speaker who will totally absorb your audience. Keith was EMA’s top scoring speaker for March 2013-March 2014 (out of 300) and regularly receives high scores and great comments from our delegates. Keith's presentations on 'How to deal with Poor Performance' is not to be missed and is a benchmark on how to performance-manage non performing staff. Keith's talk on 'An alternative to Annual Reviews' is also thought provoking and should be heard by every HR manager in New Zealand. In short I totally recommend Keith as a conference speaker.
